I have heard you can be taking some chances getting imports as you can never check the history of the car.

You cant beat Jap for reliability but it may sounds a good deal in theory, but you might regret it.

Hiya,

Have you taken into account shipping, around £600, import duty at 10% on invoice price and shipping, then 17.5 VAT on the whole amount.

ESVA work and test, around £750, the car needs to be totally factory standard to pass, and I mean totally! Then registration, customs clearance

If you need any advise or info let me know, I import new and used cars from Japan into Liverpool for a living.

my uncle got a jap import from southhampton docks, a lot of ppl buy from them docks and sell them on. cant remember them details but youve just gotta watch they have come from tokyo i think or sumwere like that, because there is pure smog which gathers on the underside of the car etc and corrodes stuff! am guessin stuy wud be ya best person to ask bout importin etc!

Its already been imported and is in this country! Its not likely ill get it but will be a bargain for somebody! Its totally standard so should have no problems passing the tests!
