Posted By: Anonymous Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 20th May 2005 1:03pm
Will be interesting!

Especially with cars with larger engine sizes - will be good to see the difference in misteradams and say jims! plus jim u'v dun a lot to it!.

I think Scooby should have a go at it in his new car! cool
Posted By: Cali_16v Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 20th May 2005 1:58pm
what is your 0-60 time again adam, im sure its much quicker than my 8.7sec
Posted By: Anonymous Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 20th May 2005 2:04pm
out of the box its 6.9 seconds, but its a good few years old now, and im still gettin used to the car so im expecting it to be considerably slower in all honesty!
Posted By: scoop Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 20th May 2005 2:55pm
If i get my NEW CAR by the nationals ill run that down the strip to test just how fast it is. Ill tell you that it is gonna be another ford. Id never leave team ford. We all know the blue oval are the best for young people
Posted By: Anonymous Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 20th May 2005 3:05pm
what car? your hire car? or you getting a new one??
Posted By: Go Go Gadget Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 20th May 2005 3:16pm
mine is a very heavy car, plus i have put that stupid heavy install in the boot, so all my engine mods i think it will probably still be close to the book.

hopefully not slower.

what the hell it still looks nice, and flies on the motor way lmao
Posted By: Anonymous Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 20th May 2005 6:22pm
yea but you said you got bout 260bhp the other night, which is a fair amount higher than mine! will still be interesting smile

Posted By: John WRX Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 24th May 2005 11:41am
bits wont be on but ill have a go anyways, be interesting to do it again next year with everything on and see the difference.

1/4 mile at santapod once its all on too. I ran 13.7 as my quickest so hoping to get it in to the 12's
Posted By: Dazza Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 24th May 2005 6:42pm
Yea no point running the Fiesta - Concentrated on looks for before performance recently since it needed panels swapping.

I'll run it at Santapod with the new engine in tease

ok post ur results here aswell! we all know how poooooo the surface was so we all have a gd excuse! lol!

0-60= 7.36secs

1/8th mile= 9.961secs

and thats a fwd 2.0 turbo
Posted By: StuyMac Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 29th May 2005 6:14pm
RWD

0-60 5.36
1/8 mile - 8.89

Like Tony said though, the surface was very poor and it was very hard to find traction frown

Even tho, std the 200 is 6.7, so on a poor surface, with "Barum" tyres - Im quite happy with 5.3 smile

Once the site is updated after the weekend, all results should be here
Posted By: Meesh Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 29th May 2005 8:39pm
1/8 mile 12.15

Due to a poor start and not getting traction I never made it to 60...the shame

usual 0-60 time for me at the mo is 9.2
Posted By: Anonymous Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 29th May 2005 9:08pm
0-60mph in 8.48 seconds

will post the 1/8th mile one up later as the print out is in the car.

im a bit disapointed by my time in all honesty, but as everyone knows the surfare wern't all that great frown

still managed to beat 106 GTi's and a Seat Leon Cupra R (i think) smile

Well done son. Bit of practice and you will get the time down.
Posted By: Anonymous Re: 0-60/+1/8th mile sprint@Nationals - 29th May 2005 9:39pm
i was aiming for 8 seconds at the most, the wind and gravel on the strip didnt help, i guess once i've done its a few more times i'll get the hang of taking off smile
