Did you know, if you caught the people doing it you could restrain them with "reasonable" force until the police arrive. Remember, the majority of police agree with this, so, if you totally mangle the guy, make sure his finger prints are on that crow bar

Thats really out of order, if theres one thing that pisses me off its vandalism of other peoples property/belongings/especially cars.

I've had stuff along the lines of this happen to myself, i've had people come to my house with the intention to do things to my car and when it wasn't there they decided to do it to the house instead.

Might be worth looking around the area to see if any chav's have written their name on walls or bus stops in gold paint? At least theres the chance of the cctv getting them but its still no conselation for whats been done

Gutted mate. Any other cars in ur immediate are been done? Few months ago some chavs went up our road with a bucket of white house paint and a brush and done lines down every other car and house. Hope the CCTV catches them fella, and hope u get this paint off without havin to shell out. Try a hard cutting polish or a tiny bit of thinners and a lot of elbow grease.

all off, just need to sort the scratches out now, thinners worked a treat, it was a nice gold colour aswell, shame it didnt match the car

maybe if i leave some green paint out, they will blow over the scratches

police, who are they, they too busy sat on the a41 with there money making guns, i mean speed traps

Your not wrong either to be honest, i've see tons of police sittin on the a41 at night and normally doing nothing too. Might be worth waiting up late for a few nights to see if they come back, at least if you battered them then you'd be safe in the knowledge that the police arn't going to do anything in the way of trying to do you for GBH

Police can only do something if theres witness/evidence - and if its more than one person doing it its classed as bias witness's.
Chance are they'll drop the case as like its been said, theres no money involved so there no point (in the police's eyes)

You wont be charged with GBH aslong as you restrain them with "reasonable force".

Remeber when they are lying on the floor unconscious, just make sure there finger marks are still on that baseball bat and your witnesses saw everything that happened.

CCTV Mate, its the Only answer to catching them, have it going into your bedroom TV with the volume on maximum so you can hear them coming and doing it....

Go out the back of your house with a friend, one goes down the road and the other up the road, both come down the road to trap them in the middle and redtrian them with reasonable force.

Alternativly jump out of your bedroom onto them and severly beat them to a pulp and then go back to bed, dont forget your house keys before jumping out of your bedroom window or you will lock yourself out

all cleaned off and sparkling now, just need to find £600 to get the scratches off, needs basically a full respray apart from the roof.
paint came off with some elbow grease and a lot of help from al and sanchez, cheers guys
