I have been playing with the MPG database on the
Cruisewirral Homepage to work out how many Miles per gallon i am getting in my vehicles.
Just curious what everyone is getting ??
Copy & paste but obviously edit the car details and fuel consumption to suit your car.

i was get around 40 mpg on my civic coupe 1.5

Vehicle: Mk1 Phase1 Renault Clio Fidji
Engine: 1.4 Weber 8v

Fuel Consumption: Approx. 30mpg (although I tend to drive this car with my foot to the floor and it has no air filter on it so it burns fuel easily lol)
--------------------------------------------------
Vehicle: Mk1 Phase1 Renault Clio RT Automatic
Engine: 1.4i
Year: 1991(J Reg)
Fuel Consumption: Approx. 37mpg - its an automatic, explains it all!

anywhere between 18 mpg to 40 mpg dependant on driving style/speed and keeping it off boost...
lol..between 12-14.2 in a works vxr!!!!..Empty a tank in 110 miles
can someone explain how you work it out?
Fill your tank...see how many litres it takes...reset your trip on the speedo..drive until tank is empty and look at the trip mileage.
So if my car does 350 miles on 60l of diesel...how do i get that to miles per gallon.
1 imperial uk gallon is 4.54609 litres.
so divide the litres used by 4.54609 and you will get tank capacity in gallons
60/4.54609 = 13.19 gallons.
Therefore to get miles per gallon take mileage and divide by gallons.
ie 350 miles/ 13.19 gallons = 26.5 mile per gallon..which is about what my old audi used to do...as I drove it pretty hard.
Clear as mud...im sure theres a flaw in my maths somewhere..the brain is rusty!
vectra vxr 2.8 v6 turbo

Nissan Micra 1.0Motorway - 54mpg

Audi A4 2.7 with DSG box..averaging 26.8mpg.....

bmw e46 325....38mpg at 70 on motorway...happy with that
Ive been using the Z4 for the commute to Manchester and I drove there at 55 mph yesterday... reset the trip computer prior and it was showing 45mpg when I got there!!
Usually, now that I'm commuting, I'm seeing the OBC showing 33mpg (ish) over a tank.
2l Mondeo - 40 - 50 mpg on open road. More like 24mpg through city.
right... at 89p a litre it costs me around £16 to fill up, that'll get me 100 miles.
I get the same with my ZXR
my mate has a zxr750 j2 that he's currently rebuilding... I think its a waste of time though.... we covered it in red fur for the eggrun last year.... lol
In my VW Golf 2.0T GTI I get 30mpg at the most on my short 10 minute journey to work. Ive only had it a couple of weeks and have not yet checked what it does on a good run up the motorway.
I have had my car a few months now so I know a bit more. Short 10 minute journeys are still around 30mpg. I drove from Yorkshire today and it ended up 41.3 mpg. The maximum I got was driving like a nun up to New Brighton one night and got it up to 43mpg.
2.0T running on Shell Vpower.
decent figures them
I can't seem to get less than 100 miles on 10 quid in my Porsche. I don't drive fast (because it doesn't
) but it's the cheapest car I've driven so far.
I can't seem to get less than 100 miles on 10 quid in my Porsche.
Bloody hell, I'll guy that Porsche off you.
My bike does 100 miles to 10 quid
The peugeot is horrendous on fuel. 30mpg on a motorway run, 25ish running about and about 3 when im giving it death, so i average about 5mpg.
The Nissan does about 30-40 on a motorway depending if i can keep off boost and what sort of speeds im doing. Running about its about 25-30 and after death down to about 14. Again, i average about 17mpg.
my scoob does about 180-190 miles to a 40l tank. crap i know but i never bought it for that reason. when it's empty, i just fill it up again
My 200's ace on fuel its been on the red for 3 months
rx8 192 19mpg around town and 24-25 motorway. £54 gets me to work and back 3 days lol about 240 miles, meaning I go through almost £100 on fuel traveling to a from work
The other day I got about 164 miles out of £11 or so of fuel in the 420 which I was well impressed with - thats about 68mpg. Twas mainly motorway driving at 60ish, but some town and A-road driving as well. Overall, id say the norm in it is about 50mpg or so. Im a nice driver. I then ran through about £10 in 80 miles or so, but I was "really" hurting the car tbh lol. Thats about 36mpg still though.
Getting about 42mpg in the 75 atm, but at least half of that has been motorway mileage at 60ish, so expecting it to drop in normal driving, supposed to be around 25mpg around town lol. Gonna miss the derv economy, thats for sure! And derv is cheaper than petrol in most places now!
Haha Rhys, 19mpg and you do mainly motorway driving, I bet that's one reason to miss the TF then! God knows what your getting around town at busy times looooool!!
Kawasaki ZXR400 - £9 fills the tank (£1.01/l), 100 miles

I used to get that in my Astra GSi, constant motorway miles, always driven gently, I always got something stupid like 60mpg! The MR2 I bought off Ste was ridiculous on mpg, hardly ever filled it.
The Starion was the other end, 17mpg average, never got more than 40 miles out of £10!
Better update this hadnt I..
Nissan Micra 1.0Motorway - 54mpg

I don't even wanna thin what im getting MPG-wise atm. About 30 at best lol. Not good I tell thee!! Put £22 in on Thursday, got about 100 or so out of it, put £16 in on Monday done 35 miles and halved it haha!
Had a heavy foot as of late lol.
Well I just got a 2.0L Ford Probe.... I'm forever puttin fuel in it.... unbelievable!!!
On a good day I get 34mpg from my Passat. Best ever was driving at a steady 50mph on the A55 in Wales, managed 40mpg, never managed it since. Was given a VW Polo "bluewave" diesel as a courtesy car this summer and the same runs that I normally get 34 mpg from in my own car I managed 90mpg. I was seriously impressed.
50+ on a run with the Avensis - 32 round town but then I've been accused of having a club foot!!!
Not 100% certain, but I think im getting about 27 - 28mpg atm, which is the best normal usage consumption ive had out of the car if its correct. About 180 miles out of £32 or so, but the fuel being 107.9/109.9 per litre means it's not as bad as it sounds, when you work it out.
Most of my driving is around town and a lot of stop start and short journies, I did get about 35mpg when I went to my dads a few months ago, but thats along the A41 and A49 so a good 45 - 65mph for the majority of the way.
i get round 190 miles for £20
i get round 190 miles for £20
Is that an expensive pair of shoes or an economical car?
Integra - 35 mpg if sensible, 15 if i have a lead right foot.
Beetle 1.6 - 25mpg
Focus 1.8 petrol - 35mpg.
c320 merc - 17.5mpg. (on a good day through town

Id say thats about what I get out of mine too

BMW 2.5 200BHP
Averages around 24mpg or 18mpg if booted everywhere
No idea what my astra (around 180BHP) does but probably around the same 25 mpg
VW Passat 2.0 TDI Sport 170bhp. Between 44mpg and 54mpg depending on driving style.
I have a Passat TDi and have averaged 53mpg over 60k miles... brilliant car!
I agree. its growing on me more and more since I bought it. I managed to get the average up to 59.4mpg on the m56 today, only because I was taking my time so as to not get back to the office too early.
I was looking on the VW website today and the Bluemotoin version seems to get an extra 10 mpg in all 3 cycles! Amazing!
Isuzu Trooper 3.0 TD - Between 26 and 32mpg depending on the journeys undertaken. Only done 3 seperate readings/calculations after filling up though. (26, 30 and 32)
Had the 5 Series for over a year now...
BMW 530d MSport Touring (Manual - makes a difference, the manual is even a tax group lower than the same car with an auto box
)
Motorway 50mpg
Town 40mpg
Towing 35-38mpg
Generally averages around 45mpg
In my new 1.5 DCI grand scenic it registering as;
Average: 47mpg
Motorway: 62mpg
t reg escort
49.5 mpg on a long run
Astra - 50 miles to £10 town driving, about 65 motorway. Think that's 30mpg average.
Just worked out, thrown £85 into the 620 this month, done 710 miles, so about 52mpg! Not bad considering most of that has been local/A-road driving and the weight of the car.
After a trip to Alton a few months back, I get about 70mpg on the motoway or thereabouts.
85mpg on the motorway
50 around town
Averaging about 65mpg from 1.6 tdci focus
I'm getting 32mpg from a Volvo S60, not bad for a 2.0 litre turbo
In my Passat 2.0tdi (170ps version) on my daily motorway run to Warrington I am getting 50mpg when pressing on, 56mpg ish being sensible and 64mpg when hyper mileing it in lane 1 all the way. Not bad for something that on paper is supposed to do 47mpg combined.

Does it sound right that I get 30mpg out of my ford mondeo 1.8 (53 reg). Always thought it was proper fuel hungry!!
Eh?
Oh dear Sanchez

BMW 3 Series E46 328 Ci Coupé 2002 31.0
Link here bud, http://www.car-emissions.com/cars/model/Bmw/page:1/sort:make/direction:asc
Lol would be if was stock mate but as mentioned in past probably something to do with the Double Vanos and timing being done as part of the remap i had done a while ago its over 220bhp rather than standard 193 also on stiffer suspension (Shnizers) its also tiptronic so wastes alot of fuel in auto idle but you knew that didn't you lid hehe
Hhahah nice one lads you picked up on the spelling mistake, behave upo the wall here in work MPG, like candy from a baby
nowt wrong with a bit of wiki banter, stop bustin my balls and get some work done Phil & San pair of wind up merchants hahaha
To be fair i walked into that
PS i shouldn't try to multitask massive FAIL
Mitsubishi Pajero - 17mpg, but it does carry a lot of weight (me) and I run it on cooking oil so don't care.
Subaru SVX - 18mpg, but it's on LPG so effectively half price.
Chrysler Grand Voyager - 21mpg, again LPG
I look at some of these 50 and 60mpg and think how far things have come in the last few years. I don't want one, I just think that since people have pushed more and more for better economy the manufacturers are finally putting some work into it rather than just making them go faster.
sorry Nelzy I go back to work now...
Hahaha ok Phil still love you, u little rascal you, hope alls well, i shouldn't be on here really but handed all my work over for paternity leave so just tying up the odd bit, seen much of Al recently ?
I just managed 37mpg out of the clapped out 2.3 v5 seat toledo ive got as a curtosy car today.
Who gives out clapped out courtesy cars?... lol
The place I use do! I had an old bright yellow Saxo last time!
I didn't leave the house unless completely necessary.

I get 560 to full tank, Fiat Punto 1.2 8v
haha... is that the one you left parked round the corner?
Parked it outside my Nan's house. Suited her.
Who gives out clapped out courtesy cars?... lol
To be fair it drives quite smoothly. They have a few newer small cars but i think they save them for the mrs miggins types that would soil themselves if they had to drive anything bigger than a micra.
Ive currently got a Vauxhall Insignificant 2.0 CDTi AUTO
Drove to Guildford yesterday, cruise at 70-80, all motorway with no real traffic problems. Averaged 42mpg which is pretty piss poor TBH.
Presume that'll be the auto box? You'd expect some decent economy as the trade off for having to drive that POS.
I bet your 530 does better than that? Is that an Auto?
Yes, the 530 gets 50+ at that sort of speed, the BMW is manual though
Glad to hear it! Manual in one of these is extremely rare!
I know, I looked long and hard for it - very nearly bought a couple of AUTOs I saw, but held out for the Manual Box and eventually found one after a couple of months looking
Are there any known issues with it not being able to cope with the torque? That's the reason our 35d had to be an auto - wasn't available in manual!
