Hi All,

I'm trying to get in touch with the current owner of my old VXR.

The reg began with CX56. It's Arden Blue and when I last had it, it had the 19" wheels.

The last thing I can find for it was an article for it being on sale in Birkenhead in 2009.

If anyone happens to have any info please PM me.

Many Thanks
Jon

First thing to do is see when it was last MOT'd, Tax'd or Sorn'd

CLICKY Tax or Sorn

CLICKY MOT

or both at once

CLICKY here

You can may be able to check if it is insured.

CLICKY Insurance Database

Then you have a good idea whether the car is still around or been scrapped. If you can think of a good reason why you want to know the whereabouts of the car (eg I want to buy my old car back as it has some strong emotional memories) you can apply to the dvla for the vehicles particulars. Its not in the list of reasons that they allow but it has been successful in the past with a bit of hard selling (sob stories etc), its just a matter of justifying "reasonable cause" and the V888 form specifically allows for previous keepers requesting information at an enhanced fee of £5.

Hi diggingdeeper,

I was not aware of some of those links. It has been taxed and MOT'd and that handy insurance link confirms all 3 are ok so presume its on the road.

It was not taxed or MOT's at some point (can't remember when) but it's come back alive again lol.

I also have a copy of the v888 on my desktop and as you say its not on the "approved list of reasons" which is why I've turned to the old inter web for assistance.

Many Thanks
Jon

hi,if you google the reg number you will get loads of sites to look at. on a couple you will get the make,if and when last taxed and mot`d.you will most prob be charged for full details but i don`t think it was too dear. if you dont mind paying then the dvla is your best bet, cheers
