probably just as tempting as these .. I was looking for parts for my engine and came across them..

I was also reading this.. about the SR20DE (not DET)

Turbo Performance
-------------------------------
Some would argue that the DE was ment to be turbocharged. It's certanly built for it. The stock DE block can take up to 500hp worth of boost before it will need to be resleeved with stronger material. Turbo options range anywhere from mild (180hp) to wild (600+hp). There is a whole science based on choosing the proper turbo for any application. It all depends on what you want to achieve. The old addage "big turbo, big power, big lag" isn't necessarly true anymore. Turbo technology has come a long way since then, by correctly choosing your turbo you can still get big power with relativaly little lag. Ball bearing center turbos can cut lag significally, but are expensive. Describing all the turbo options currently available for the G20 is an article all by itself. Look for it soon...

Different cams make different differances on different engines happy

I also fitted cams to a 16v astra 2.0 GTE and no difference at all, this is because most manufactures design engines for reliability and design the cams to provide a smooth power delivery and low down power.

The 16v astra have designed the cams for power therefore changing to performance cams made little or no difference at all.

I presume stuy's wont make heaps of difference over stock however stuys engine isnt stock therefore cams could compliment the other mods nicely but i am sure stuy will advise us of his engine as i dont have allot of knowledge on this type of engine.

The Tomei PonCams are quite mild cames really with 256 degree duration and 11.5mm valve lift.

Just having a little rethink at the moment as apparently my engine may have solid lifters, in which case I could go for a slightly more crazy cam, with a longer duration and higher lift.

The Tomei cams, being quite mild would give a fairly even performance gain from low in the revs, all the way though, the wilder the cam tends to be, the performance is greater, but there is a narrower power band.

Well, turns out the engine has hydraulic lifters, so Ive just bought the Tomei Cams smile

Coming from Japan, so expecting a couple of weeks wait on them.
