Just got my car back form its MOT and its a nono im afraid. Few things wrong all very very easy to fix

1.Slight puff on the zorst but it passed emmisions so itll be very easy to fix.Ill try myself
2. Handbrake needs adjustment which i shall do tomorrow
3. Low nearside brake pressure(suspect rear)
4. N/S Drive shaft outer boot is split
5.Headlights out of limits
6. Last and Most importantly:-

My ****ing sunstrip and stickers

Apparently these are worthy of a fail cos they come to low and MUST be removed. This,i really dont wanna do as i love it and im sure they are fine as its only tintin film and the stickers are not too big. Anyone know if this is correct

Would you fail a car on this scoob???

I dont wanna have to peel em off and buy them again in a week

Mine passed on sunstrip, didnt even make comment on it.
Take it somewhere else once you got all the other bits sorted mate.

Thing is, the guy said i pay him later. I dont wanna pay him for his time and someone else too.(it'd be cheaper to get the strip redone afta the mot)

Thought sunstrips are illegal? Depending on size?

Sunstrips arent illegal. As a rough guide, if your window wiper touches it, its too low and an MOT failure.

i thought it was something to do with size

I thought they could be 2" into the wiper sweep if they are solid but if they are tinted then they can go further

10mm into area A of the windscreen are the regulations..

Area A translates as the area directly infront of the driver..

mine failed on the sun strip had to rip it off to pass

Hmmm. I would think the same about it being just a tint but then most people get told to rip there side window tints out so i spose you may have to rip it out to pass ? think

Altho you're ok if you just have the lettering, as I did on an old sunstrip...but then it wouldnt be classed as a sunstrip....I'm just confusing meself now
