Bloody hell its been awhile since I posted in this topic. Well today I bought a Nissan 200sx in black needs some engine work but apart from that Im well happy. Will get some pictures up tommorow. Big thankyou to Chris and Andy AKA Aceritz and Sanchez for helping with the delivery! And im sorry for nearly killing chris!
Posted By: Wheels Re: AL: Nissan 200sx S13 - 17th Feb 2008 12:11am
woooh! another 200! look forward to seeing some pics
Posted By: AL Re: AL: Nissan 200sx S13 - 17th Feb 2008 12:13am
Needs a damn good clean about an inch of dust on it will get some before and after shots.
Posted By: Sanchez Re: AL: Nissan 200sx S13 - 17th Feb 2008 10:29am
tahts was the most dodgy bit of driving/towing in the world,

picture the scene, all towing chris, al throwing a ciggy out of the window, al looking back after throwing his ciggy to see that he is have way across the road, so pulls back in snapping chris with back in, the car starts snaking, i assume the crash position, the snakin stops, i get a text of chris saying you fookin drive !

Nice car though al, need alot of engine work, but a real good base model to start with, pretty jealious !

Right, in day light we decided to take Al's project down to his mums were its gonna rest in piece !

So like a funeral services al decided to dress it up ready for the grave !

I bet your asking your self at this stage : god how is a man of this size/build/muscle structure going to fit in it, he's like half its size, but he can. I have seen it with my own eyes !

He's some pics of the car cleanish, although it was funny watching al clean it, half way through watching al scrub it i took my eyes off him for one minute and before i knew it, he was spraying the tyres with that tyre shine stuuf. He has the attention span of a hamster.

Good base model you got there al ! Hope you continue to keep enthusiastic about it as you are now !

Looks good that all.

Looks like a pre-facelift (by the bumper) what reg is it???

If it is pre mate needs a diff/lsd unless upgraded.
Posted By: Sanchez Re: AL: Nissan 200sx S13 - 17th Feb 2008 6:03pm
I think it does need the diff, taht will come with the new engine, which is deffo needed, stuy said it has moved a shell, then some thing about a beach and lobsters
Posted By: StuyMac Re: AL: Nissan 200sx S13 - 18th Feb 2008 8:38am
raftl

Its on a "G" plate, so will be un-lSD'd

Its a pretty decent shell, but needs a new engine - once thats in an MOT will show what other bits and bobs are needed smile

... I just hope it gets more use than the treadmill wink - C'mon Al - prove me wrong [Linked Image]
Posted By: AL Re: AL: Nissan 200sx S13 - 18th Feb 2008 9:41am
I hear what your saying boys. Stuy that car has already had more use than the treadmill already. flex Plan is get it MOT'ed see if its worth perservering with then get a rebuilt or secondhand engine fitted. Then all the ancilliaries sorted ie LSD, suspension etc. happy
Posted By: AL Re: AL: Nissan 200sx S13 - 18th Feb 2008 5:53pm
Been on a couple of various websites and found more pictures of my car before it was stored for six months.

Unfortunatly the inlet manifold, all the breather, vacume, fuel etc etc hoses is probably the most complicated area on the engine, and possibly the hardest bit to work on with the engine in the car frown

Posted By: AL Re: AL: Nissan 200sx S13 - 4th Apr 2008 7:55am
i havent been there sean and still waiting for an inlet manifold gasket as soon as i have that its going back on.

Right, this topic hasn't been updated for a while. And seems as though we made abit of a major break through I thought Tank ass al (with it being his car) would of made an update. So here goes.

[Linked Image]

Ehinge sucessfully transplanted, but for some reason she wasn't firing up right, and when we did manage to get it to turn over and hold an idle, it was a really poor one.

So after abit of investigation Al decided to try and reason with the ecu

[Linked Image]

But the problem was narrowed down to nissans amazing Idea of using the same connector over and over again on the top of the engine, thus tricking us in to thinking that the idle valve bypass plug was an injecttor plug, when it wasn't.

[Linked Image]

SO we swapped them around with haste, and wayheyyyyyy, she's alive, but there seem's to be a problem with smoke now. We think the turbo's shagged. But on the other hand it could be some thing to do with all these missing bits ?

[Linked Image]

Posted By: Wheels Re: AL: Nissan 200sx S13 - 15th May 2008 8:47am
