Nice looking motor, any problems with putting 18" wheels on it?

Like the colour coded strips etc, may have to invest in mine, shame it is only a 1.4 frown any plans to drop a 1.6 in it?

what a bad modifyin week i've had! 1st i got some gandor mirrors then when i rang to say i'll be sendin the cheque the guy tells me he dropped the last pair over the weekend & smashed them & won't have anymore for 8weeks.
then i found some skirts, i've been asking the guy for over a week for his address to send a cheque & he tells me he's sold them to someone else!
bit gutted but hey everythin happens for a reason & so i'll just go somewhere else for them.

Posted By: stubbzy Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 8th Dec 2004 2:16pm
I'M CURRENTLY WATCHING THIS ON EBAY.
WHAT DO YOU ALL RECKON?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=10386&item=7939191700&rd=1

MY CONCERN IS THAT ITS ALL FIBREGLASS SO I'M BIT WORRIED ABOUT SOLIDNESS IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.
Posted By: Neon-O Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 8th Dec 2004 2:35pm
Thats a decent bonnet, would look good on ye car mate. And also for just £70 id say its worth the bid.

I aint much of a technical car person so dont know much about the 'solidness' factor, but i doubt it'd be a problem.
Posted By: Crevis Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 8th Dec 2004 5:47pm
thats a nice bonnet there mate
i aint to sure on the solidness factor
i think it should be fine like
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 8th Dec 2004 5:55pm
im sayn **** the solidness factor, that bonnet is scweeeeet, get biddn!!!
Posted By: lazy_ben Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 8th Dec 2004 10:17pm
It should be fine, there are some cars that have body panels made out of fibreglass. Looks nice too!
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 8th Dec 2004 10:43pm
Very nice motor but am no sure on the double spoiler..dont see the point in 2 but gorgeous anyways smile
Posted By: scoop Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 8th Dec 2004 10:55pm
I dont see the point in 1 spoiler on cars that arent for the track, i mean does anyones spoiler here actually give any downforce, i know mine doesnt, the design isnt remotely aerodynamic, they just look good and the more u have the better. As for the bonnet is will be very solid because it has been made to be solid. Skins arent solid and neet lots of work to stop em crackin but this will be one heavy duty fat thing. Get it mate and get it now!
Posted By: stubbzy Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 9th Dec 2004 9:04am
the lower spoiler will be removed when i get the boot smoothed,it was fitted as standard so just haven't got round to removin it yet.
still thinkin bout the bonnet but thanks guys.
Posted By: CorsaJohn Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 9th Dec 2004 1:09pm
that will go for wel ova 100 but u can only try, really like the way ur goin with ur car mate looks sweet, the boot will look awesome wen smoothed and had the bottom spoiler taken off
Posted By: stubbzy Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 6th Jan 2005 5:48pm
I'm thinkin of gettin these mirrors. I've seen Jap cars with small mirrors & think they can look cool but i'm only 50/50 on these.

Posted By: stubbzy Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 9th Jan 2005 5:45pm

yeah ya cars looking really good now has rapidly changed from when its previous owner had it keep up the good work, have you decided to go for a carbon bonnet yet?
Posted By: stubbzy Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 25th Jan 2005 9:48am

After that i'm after a smooth boot.
I'm lookin maybe to keep both spoilers to put a twist on the boot. What do people think? Maybe someone could photoshop a few ideas??
Posted By: Gary Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 18th May 2005 6:40pm

Aswell as the smooth boot i added some trick touches. For those of you who know, the second spoiler was a debatable factor. Should it stay or should it go. I decided it should stay to be different however i have had it modified aswell.

[Linked Image]

This spoiler had a recess in it where the wiper used to be. This has now been filled in & re-sprayed.
Posted By: stubbzy Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 15th Oct 2005 3:50pm
My exhaust was a bit knackered aswell so i have had a custom stainless right the way through.

[Linked Image]

I have to say it is once of the sweetest exhausts i have heard & is the best i have owned. It really does sound sweet.

[Linked Image]
Posted By: stubbzy Re: Stubbzy's : Honda Civic - 15th Oct 2005 3:52pm
The above work, the boot & the exhaust were done by one of CW sponsers Spray force so a big thank you to Martin & the gang. They really have done a quality job.
The boot was a monster job but looks absolutly flawless.
So what do you all reckon?
