I used to hate 'em, but very slowly grew acustomed to the idea of a modded one, and after seeing some very sweet lookin ones I quite like them now. Deffo beat off the mk2 fiesta for me. You need to spend alot of money to make them look like sreet racers, but if anyone here knows of those rally modded ones in N.Wales, which don't cost much to do, you will know what I mean when I say eek SWEET... eek wink

A mate of mine has just bought a good condition white F reg. He's gonna sort out the sound system and he's given me a budget of £200-£300 to help him make it look rally bred. I'm thinkin 2nd hand white alloys off a 106 rallye, red sparco mud flaps, driving lamps, and in his own time he can fit red bucket seats with harnesses, and a roll hoop laugh

Fair enough, some are nice after they've had a lot of cash thrown at them. And im sure 2.0L 16V motors are **** hot but dont you think they need to be left in the past now. Jimbo's talkin about an F reg model, i probably wernt even born when that came out an you can get older ones aswell! My opinion is that after a lot of cash and effort and time they can look smart an be super quick but is it really worth it?!?! I dont like them because there are too many shi*ty lookin ones that people think are good when there rust buckets and death traps. At the end of the day tho its up to the individual and if they're happy gambling with their life then thats up to them and if i see a smart one ill be the first to say so, but will i ever see a smart one!

Most of them round Wirral and Merseyside look like piles of ****, even when done up, but I have seen some really smart ones.

The only decent street one I've seen was a GTE with all decals stripped off, totally black, full body kit (dunno what kind), blacked out windows, it was scrapin the road with 16" 7 spoke chrome look alloys, purple neons, tinted lights, delocked side doors, twin DTM's, electric window conversion, and a proper pimp-mobile look on the inside... and don't get me started on the sound system coz you'll be reading this forever.

Head to the far side of N.Wales and you'll find some rally bred 1.2's and 1.4's which have spotlights, mud flaps, cheap alloys and a roll hoop which actually look damn good.

My point is that people round here try to get the street look on them, then run out of money so they look ****, when if they'd only started out with a rally look in the first place they'd have enough cash left for the insurance and they'd still look good laugh

i respect those that are different and that look 2% less ugly than the rest, and the owners that put in the time and effort, but they aren't my choice they r too boxy and are knockin on now. save your pennies and get a corsa!

I have had 2 nova 1.4 Sr`s..

Ok i wrote them both off but, i would buy another one 2moro.

A little dated now, but millions of mods available, and might well buy another and make it rally spec for track days...

cant say i like them, but each to their own, think the people who put 2.0L engines in are probably the biggest nova enthusiasts like!

well now your talkin, my first modded car was a nova and i think it looked dam good for it's age
mods included novadose body kit, combat side skirts, mondao roof spoiler, reprayed dark blue,
peco big bore 4, delocked, debadged, sports mesh front grill, yellow front foggs, air horn, blue tinted windows, cat 1 alarm imobleiser but very lackin in power only a 1.2 i loved that car and was sad to see it go but i realy needed to update i think nova's were once the only cheep car worthy of moddin but the time has come to move on. there are so many to choose from and so many places that do good mods to stick on any car can look fantastic if you throw enough cash at them. but it all boils down to owners choice and taste. and lets face it we have all seen cars that have been modded to be unrecogniseable and in our eyes look ****

Ihate the things i drove me mate's once it handled like a bag of s***. soz guys but i think nova's are 1 of the worst cars to mod you have 2 spend tones and still they look poo!!!
