only 500 of these came in to Britan between 1990 and 1993 they are an all time classic go kart.

Engine is a 1.3 Supercharged SOHC running 113bhp as standard in a car weighing around 950kg.
a filter and exhaust with de-cat will push the hp up to around 130-135!! but the skys the limit iv'e seen these tunned upto 180-190

I was despratly after a Polo G40 a few months back, they are very hard to find.

As 20vgolf says, they are the all time classic go kart, amazing performance out of a "grandad" style car.

There is one floating around in the Darkcruisers Warrington meet.

Yep they are hard to find i've just managed to by a G40 complete engine and box to stick in my Mk1, the engine has had to come from Kent and cost a bit, but a Mk1 Golf G40 should be fun!!

Not sure if I'd trust an older rover, they do suffer from ALOT of head problems, however, they're dead cheap when they go wrong, swings and round abouts I guess.

The king of this size car HAS to be the Charade GTir, there's alot of these little beasts that can kill an Impreza Classic (standard of course), in a line. Same is true with the Renault 5 GT Turbo, both of them, light as farts with excess of 100 bhp, and easy to tune.

Clios are suspect build quality arn't they? Not sure on this, but they are a very girly car, seen quite a few modded too.

Corsas are very common (modded ones), aw mayte!

Everyone trys to turn Escorts into cosworths.

306s have good handling, been in a turbo disel one, and it gripped and gripped.

Thought about a 205gti? High insurance, but quick as hell, and really good handling.

Most pugs have good handling, bits fall off the inside though.

i asure u that i wud not turn it into a cosworth! i am not a fan of cosworth styling! dont like the idea of a 205 plus no 1 will insure me on a gti!

clios r nice cars, but their name always puts me off, cuz it does sound girly.

iv had a go of one tho, and theyr quite nice to drive, my mate is havin a lot of fun wiv his.

i think you should get a MK5 fiesta, i think the zetec puts out about 75 brake which is good and the insurance wont take the **** as they would with a car like a fiesta Si.

Yeah my friend has got a clio, it feels like a big car, not small and crashy like you'd expect.

had a black 1.25 zetec n reg, with white oz super t's. wot a rev machine! loadsa fun cheapo insurance, and loadsa moddin potential. if u want 306, go 4 TD (norm diesel grp 4 ins, TD grp 5!) not bein biased cos i got 1, but decent handling, tons of torque (would recommend upgrading brakes tho...take a bit of stick if getting most out of it!) and loads of places out there do stylin & tunin mods for it...the choice is yours!!

i think the mk5 is the zetec s sahpe one and the mk4 the onne with sad lights, i agree with you on that. Apart from the lights the car is smart and there are plenty of mods available aswel.

i know that it need the cam belt needs changin. yea jimbo the alternator is goin, an the water pump needs changin but the head gasket is fine an dandy. had this all cheaked buy me dad who is in the trade

i would av got a corsa sport! my mate has got one and he's done loads to it! they look well smart! he's just had a 2.0 engine put it in too! looks dead nice in red and wiv tints!
