Hi folks, My engine warning light has just come on yesterday and stayed on. I was just wandering if anybody had an idea on what it could possibly be?

Check on google Could be a fault stored in the computer of the car.

It could be one of many things, I would get someone to do a diagnostic check asap.

Hopefully something easily sorted but if it's a major issue costs will rise quickly.

I've got a Ford Transit connect, its abit lumpy on tick over but drives fine. Its only on tick over that its noticeable. Ive had it on the diagnostics but no faults show up, anybody know of any Ford diesel specialists please ?
Thanks

I'm on the Wirral tomorrow, do you want me to diagnose the problem for you
As regards to the connect faults only show if there electrical so it must me mechanical ie bent valve or similar

when you say bent valve etc, why does it clear over 1500rpm ? surely if the valves where bent, it wouldn't clear no matter what the revs ??

Hi, I have a (good quality)code reader. if you want I can check the error codes in the ECM and that can point you in the right direction. let me know if you want it doing.

It was just a suggestion from past experienc.
I had a car that missed in tick over and was fine when reving (burnt valve seat) in the end
