my dad has a primera an he wants to put a single cd headunit in but he is not bothered about a cd changer, but the headunit at the mo is one big block with other dials fixed into it to, any1 know how u can overcome this?? :go: :go:
u can by a facia adapter. u canget them from most car/ audio shops
without soundin like a proper novice what eaxctly does that do??
basically every headunit is a standard size, some car manufacurers make the gap bigger, so some companies brought out adaptors so you can fit the headunits in nearly every car
the only problem is in the current headunit it has the traffic info, hazards and sum other button, so wud he lose then buttons if he got a new headunit an the facia adaptors?
if the primera is a new model one then you won't be able to change it because of the way it is all set up. (I asked about this when i worked at nissan). i think there is a way to install another head unit and mount it in the glove box though so you can still keep the centre console. hope this helps matey
