i HAD fixed back buckets in my 5 door escort. They were very supportive.Comfy up to about 5 hours straight, and cheap.3 door wise u can get subframes that tilt so the seat can give access to the back, without these its not worth the hassle for fixed back ones as you'll look stupid.Best solution to that tho is get rid of the back seats

are tilting sub frames easy to find tho? i cant really get rid of the back seats need then for mates and family and what not. so really fixed back buckets are decent then?

ive had bucket seats in my corsa, and yes they are a pain in the arse, as people had to climb over them to get into the back, also i had the cobra monacos, and i even had the cushions which were an extra and after about an hour you got a sore arse, i ended up getting rid of them for leather

Cobra clubmans are cheaper and much, much, more comfortable. You're only paying the extra on the monacos as they're FIA approved.

I've got Prelude front seats in my civic. They match up well with the rest of the trim, hold you well, have tilting backs so no problems with rear passengers, and I think they're one of the comfiest seats I've ever sat in! If you're at the meet on Thursday and I have my car back by then, I'll show you what they're like to sit in if ya want.

Bucket seats are comfy as fook.
You won't get people in the back though. Lift up adapters probably won't help either, there's not enough clearance from the top of the seat to the car's ceiling, and you've got to be careful with them through the MOT, they must be secure.
I'd still say go for them though, you're saving about 15 - 20 kgs on weight as well, they're just metal bars with padding.
