I have changed my insurance over from a

1.6 16v zetec 1999 Ford Focus
to a
1.6 16v zetec 2000 Ford Focus

And the price went up by £133 a year. How the hell do these insurance people come up with there prices.

Now this insurance lark has got me stumped, I have now changed from a 1.6 16v zetec 2000 Ford Focus to a 2 litre focus and its gone down by £150.

yup, you find it a lot, you go to something with a bigger engine and the price drops. had it happen a few times over the years.

It all depends on how many cars are crashed each year. The more of your model that is crashed, the more expensive your insurance will be, so because less people crash the 2L each year and not the 1.6L that is why your insurance is cheaper.

Basically, You are paying more each year, for other peoples car crashes.
