I wonder if anyone has the time please to run my car through Glass's guide(the free bit). Ive used up my own 3 email addresses trying, but I dont know whether its my own laptop misbehaving or the Glass's site , but I havent got further than half way through , and then when I re try, it says Ive used that email already. (which I havent except in trying ) (There appears to be an option to run it through if youre not the owner.)

Its a 2001Y Skoda Fabia 1.9TDi Elegance. Diesel hatchback (I thought it was a saloon, but theres not an option for that, so I must be wrong- Im not a car savvy person as you can see!)
Its manual , and tatty if theres a condition option.

I don't want to register with Glass's as I am pretty sure that would create endless emails and calls but there is a similar sounding one at this dealer for £3295, clearly mileage and condition will impact greatly on the price.

Thanks to both of you. If its in poor condition, would I be right in thinking it would be better trading it in against the replacement new one OH is buying , also a Skoda? Cant tell from the site whether for trade in purposes, the condition will make much difference ?

Have look at "Honest Johns" site. He's the motoring correspondent for the Daily Telegraph and the site give any info on any car along with opinions and guidance. Good site for petrol heads.

Thanks BandyCoot - will have a look round that site for future interest. As for the present Skoda --) OUCH! £800 trade in - but at least it is off my hands now and I wont have someone coming back at me moaning that this that or the other has gone wrong since they bought it.
