Any recommendations for someone local who can do this please?

I know the big chains (Kwik Fit, Halfords, etc.) do it but wondered if anyone could recommend the best place to go without paying a fortune.

Thanks

Air conditioning on a car should be checked/serviced on a regular basis as I believe the gas leaks over a period of time. I went to Heswall Air Con. Long story, but ended up costing me about £300, however they fully showed/explained the fault & didn't charge me for a re-gas. I've no idea whether this was good value or not, but I was impressed with their professionalism.

They dont work properly - they only top up the gas.

A proper re-gas, empties the system of all the old gas, water / condensation, and then refills it with the correct refrigerant AND lubrication agents. The DIY kits just add refrigerant, can over pressurise the system and even damage it over time.

If anyone is still interested in this, I came across a discount voucher for ATS Euromaster which offered half price Air Con recharge - worked out at £22.50.

I just got it done at their branch in Moreton, you need to print the voucher from their website - it does however say that the offer is limited to the first 500 customers
