been on comparison sites to get quotes to insure a 51 plate fiesta 1.25,and the lowest quotes are coming back at £90 a month!i was insured on a x reg focus 1.8 zetec for 64 quid a month so why is the fiesta so expensive?i've had lower quotes on a impreza non turbo which has got to be more pokey than the fizz surely?!why is this so expensive to insure?

Absolute joke at the mo mate, cheapest I could find on my GSi was £2250, yet my E30 325i was only £650, I ended up getting a trade policy for £1850 which insures all my cars and covers me to drive anything apart from bikes or quads.

Possibly because it's a car that is easy to steal. I spoke to an insurer a while ago and he said in the area there have been many no win no fee type claims in the area. Hence the higher than average quotes

mine went though the roof after i bumped some little whore who then claimed for whiplash! bar that and the coutesy car the only cost was a changed light unit, gone down a huge amount now though

Try Adrian Flux by phone, if they can't give you a good price he sometimes makes good suggestions CLICKY .

Fully comp was half the price of 3rd party for me (sounds back to front), I used moneysupermarket.com to search.
