Hi after suggestions. The heaters in my Scenic have started playing up.
When on a setting it seems to struggle to blow air (really low on 1 & 2), it's like 4 is 3, 3 is 2 etc etc etc.
Hope that makes sense, I can hear it trying so hoping it's just leaves blocking it somewhere and is an easy fix, was fine yesterday.
Any suggestion?
cud be carbon brushes in the motor need replacing Diz
It might be the resistor pack,i think it was a common fault.
Have a google, cos it could be a few things.
Pollen filter? Did the trick on mine.
If you can hear the blowers on all settings then yes pollen filter
If you can not here them on other setting eg234 when it will be the Heater switch resistor pack
under the centre lower dash board area
Yes I can hear the blowers on all settings?
Just sounds as loud as normal but only blowing about 50% out.
How easy/hard to change pollen fitter? (For a dunce) :-)
I have a 99 Megane which I think is the same as a Scenic. Haven't changed mine yet but saw the garage open where the filter should be and it does look very easy.
The pollen filter is on the passenger side (inside the car) under the glove box above the kick panel
you can just take it out it still works (But put cover back on ) its just for catching dust and moisture in the air
Cheers guys, today fan belt snapped and was replaced by Gilly, since then it seems the heater has magically repaired itself. Will see how it goes for a day or two now.
