Power comes from a 2.8-liter V6 that generates a relatively modest 130 horsepower LOL still would love one tho! Back to the Futre 2 rocks

That was the US car - the UK version had 150bhp as it didnt need a CAT and other emission controls wink

Its a good job it didnt need to go any faster than 88mph in Back to the Future raftl

Every 80's boys movie dream car. As a car they arent exactly the best, but its a movie icon that is incredibly rare.

Looks nice but I bet its a pig to own one

Parts must be a nightmare to get hold of. Probably some small workshop somewhere makes them for a small fortune.

Saw a documentary on John DeLorean a few years ago, very interesting.

Other than body parts, you can probably get most mechanical parts off the shelf, for example the V6 Motor was a Renault / Peugeot / Volvo lump smile

don't think that's the one i was thinking of as i've seen it on the road a couple of times over the years. although it could of been different cars as they do all look the same.

I've seen one on the Wallasey Approach road, going back a few months mind.

I saw one in Liverpool last year... I got so excited my pants ripped...
don't handle terribly well I believe... in fact I don't think they do anything well other than time travel... but most of them don't even do that! False advertising Mr Spielberg...

Hmmm think

I have not seen this vehicle you speak of.

Cameras at the ready, your mission is to post a photo of it here.

Winner receives a signed rusty xr3i bonnet in white and a packet of mint imperials.

Im a bit of a looser when it comes to these cars, always planned on getting one but no chance at the moment!

Parts are very easy! There is now a company in USA remaking the whole car! You can actually buy a brand new delorean complete with all modcons such as Ipod connection lol. Or you can just buy the bits needed to fix up your original ones, from a wheel nut to a dash to new body panels!

UK ones never really existed only est 26 right hand versions where built, the company folded before production started, and only a couple have been found/remain, when for sale you can normally add an extra £10k to the price!
