This year, on the 9th and 10th Sept, the Wallasey Motor Club are celebrating the 30th year of the New Brighton Promanade Stage Rally with a friday night Super Special Stage!

Not only will the rally take place as usual on the saturday, but the friday night will host the super special stage with will see 2 cars going head to head on an inner and outer lap of the prom!

Its beleived this is the first time this has been done by a local club on public roads!!!

This is sure to be a spectical not to be missed!!!

Goes without saying that I'll be there. Only missed 3 since 1992 I think my first one was 1987, so since that first one, I think I've missed 6 in total. Ye Gods I feel old now

Yeah, th development at the other end of the prom has prevented us from using the car parks as the service area

I've just got in now. It was fookin fabulous!! I caved in by the clown roundabout and got a taxi home as I couldn't physically walk another step. It took me 36mins to walk from the start line, by the next roundabout up, to the clown roundabout. I'm officially fubard.

Bugger I never care if I have nobody to go with, nothing comes between me and motorsport

Scrap me saying nothing comes between me and motorsport. I can't get the brace on - knee is too swollen I'm now trying to decide if it's worth going without it. It's a mile walk there and back, plus standing for 6hrs. I think the standing will kill me off completely. This will be the 6th I've missed in 25yrs I think.

Wasnt there today, but was at a kids party at the Lazerquest/Bowling bit. Saw a couple of nice cars cruising the prom, including a all black Bentley Continental and a Ferarri 430. Lots of nice sounding engines coming from the rally though.
