As far as I can tell from reading stuff. our Seat Ibiza model was fitted with remote central locking as standard but I don't have a fob.
How can I tell if it definately has remote central locking?
If it does where can I get a fob?
If it's a case of having to go to Seat I'll leave it I think as it'll be fairly expensive I imagine?...

It will have, buy a fob off eBay and stick it in the ignition while you hold the button in. That's how I done my Astra anyway when the key stopped working. smile

They do two types of system for those infa-red and radio frequency the best way to check if it has infared is to look at the rear view mirror and see if it has a reader for it, if its radio frequency it will pick up the signal inside the body computer, the only other option to know for sure is to ring seat with the vin and ask them if its equipped for remote central locking
