Im after buying a damaged repairable car in the coming months.
I have had a look on Ebay and car transplants (keep checking every few days) and at a few Google results.
I was wondering if anyone knew of any other good sites or companies that sell salvage vehicles.
Im looking for a high performance or luxury car.

CoPart is about the biggest, just be aware if you're bidding where the vehicle is, they have depots all over the country.

Copart is great, but you need to be a member and some of the auctions are trade only. Also, you need to pay immediately, or they'll cancel your account and ban you. smile

There's a new-ish Copart yard in Chester now. Seems like the forward for salvage tbh, at least you don't have to deal with narky yard owners and random pricing.

The trade only part is for Cat A and Cat B write-offs, cars that can never be returned to the road and MUST be stripped for parts only. You can imagine the Watchdog team if a private individual bought one and then spent thousands to restore a vehicle to its former glory only to find that it can never be road legal again.
It's also used to stop people buying a piece of scrap for pennies and then using the ID (VIN tag etc) on a stolen car.

I agree about certain narky yard owners smile

Cat A = No part removal Crush only.

Cat B = Certain parts only, no shell.
