There are different companys who offer a full build kit includin all parts. Will try and find the company name tomorrow. It's either MP or MV sports cars.

I had one, it came with really crappy Pinto 1600. Replaced the rear suspension with Sierra.

Try and buy the spaceframe made up, there's loads that have not been finished. Mine has been sold twice since I sold it.

3 door or a saff?

What engine do you want?

I'd go for a 2.0 Zetec for cheapness. Also make sure you get a non pats ecu/engine for a plug and play conversion.

If building a kit car, I'd go Megasquirt engine management, I built and used a Megasquirt 2 on a Nitrous'd Micra I had a few years ago (170hp at the hubs! 1.3 litre). Was very good.

You'll seriously love the power of being able to tune your own engine management, plus it simplifies the whole engine management arena something royal, it runs only the sensors it needs and you'll always have the power to diagnose any issues with your PC. Drop me a PM if you want any advice, I used to install ECU's into cars they didn't belong in on a daily basis for many years smile

If you're learning about automotive development, this is the zone in which to be, there are a million and one mechanical experts around, but very few people who know anything of any consequence about engine management systems.

No, it went to someone in Derbyshire. He then broke it up about a week later and sold the parts - I was pretty upset as I requested it must go to someone that'd look after it. frown

I think I've seen the one you mean a while ago!
