My car recently got fixed and is now asking for a radio code...

Didn't have one, so I paid for one on line...not sure if I have been had as it didn't work!! Not sure if I entered it wrong as I know there is a certain way to input the code...

I have a BMW tourer, S reg. Anybody know how to remedy this??

Many thanks in advamce,
Joanne

You can take the whole radio to a hifi shop, there is one by TRFC and they will read the code stored on the microchip inside the radio. The shop might be called "Soundwaves".

Think they closed a long time ago. Try the garage at the top of Borrowdale Road in Moreton by Iceland. Should only cost about a tenner. Alternatively check the docs that come with your car as BMW do supply them with the owner's manual.

What's the make (Model, model number, etc) and serial code of your radio?

Tell the person you bought your new code from if it doesn't work. There is loads of software on the net that'll do it for you for nothing. There's a forum as well for this type of thing as well.

Thanks for the advice, it is not on the paperwork, have checked.

I cannot remember what the radio make is...may try that place in Moreton.
