Want to know how much the drivers were paid this year?
Take into account that this list doesnt include bonuses, and also that F1 is one of the only racing formula that actually pay the drivers. 99% of every other formula, the drivers have to pay frown

Far too much money, they are good at what they do, but no man deserves that much money. More than likely these guys had money before they even sat in an F1 car car anyway. Its just not fair frown

Yeah, pretty much every Serious Racing driver in the world is rich... well was rich before they started racing hahahaha

FF - £40-150,000 a Year

And thats the starting tier.
A lot of the money can be provided via sponsorship though, but it is difficult to gain sponsors in this day and age

I suspect some of the lower guys were actually paying to play in F1 so could actually be a minus figure!

I think the lower ones are on the region of £150,000 to £300,000 so it doesnt show up in comparison to the big boys. It says something when the lowest payed guys are on 10 times the average wage yet still dont show up on the list. Its worse then footballers.

Ive never understood why sportsman get payed so much. I can gaurantee theres better drivers out there then any current F1 drivers but theyve never been spotted or never had a chance so although the big boys are very very talented theyre not worth that much money. For all we know, theres better drivers in maccies car park on a tuesday night then there is out on a sunday (im sure theres better drivers then jenson button in the test centre over the road though) at silverstone in big race cars. same goes for footballers, i was better then half of them when i played, i know people who wouldve pissed all over half of them when they where 14 yet they get payed millions because they can kick a ball and kiss arse and are lucky enough to get 'spotted'. Look at david beckham, all he can do is cross a ball and have a shit hair cut yet hes loaded.
