Swinton are a household name whereas MIW isnt, this does not always mean better quality, but id rather be with the better known firm.

Do Gocompare try Quinn Direct? As they have proved extremely cheap for myself and quite a few people I know.

You qualify for trade insurance mate, might be worth considering, especially if you have a few cars, saves lots of money smile

Try Adrian Flux, they have always done me good quotes.

As for comparison web sites, I use them more as a guide. I ring up insurance companies direct, this way they can pass you on proper savings, and actually play them off one another. Another way to lower your premium is to join some sort of car club, if you become a member of certain clubs you can get up to 10% extra off.

Ive had no Luck with Insurance, 21 in December, still paying £1000 on the Micra, rather be paying that on an Alfa than a shopping Trolley...which is exactly the same price.

One way we've used in the past is to use go compare etc, ring your current Inusrance company, and tell them the offers that are being given. What they can do to match it, and why you should stay with them.

Chances are they try and make you a very good deal to keep you on their list

I'd advise you to try More Than. Just give them a bell, they are pretty good. You pay monthly,

get one month free,
don't have to pay a deposit up front,
can get other people insured and not increase your premium (only excess)
Can insure second cars and get 50% off.

Good stuff.

Another place to try is ecar:

www.ecarinsurance.co.uk

They do bikes and vans as well and there are no call centres involved. Everything is done on line.
