Well, waved goodbye to my car yesterday, it's gone to a new home in Blackburn - really sad to see it go.

However, I was sad for all of 10 mins until i nipped over to Williams BMW and put a deposit down on something very girly, gay, hairdressery etc - a Z4.

Graphite grey with black leather and a shed load of options inc. Carver hifi with 10 speakers/subs/amp etc, xenons, wind deflector, electric folding mirrors, heated seats and more. So quite happy with that.

Will get some pictures up when i pick it up on Tuesday!

Thats the dealer picture. Its a 2.5.

I test drove the 2.0 and then the 2.2 and Chris, you're right, they're lame. The 2.5 and the 3.0 are a class above.

I couldnt justify the 3.0 in terms of insurance, and this fully spec'd one showed up at Williams, so local, got a good deal.

Im told I just need to be careful about pulling up next to school buses, as you can end up covered in spit.

Thought id post some as I havent yet.

No plans for it other than how it looks, perhaps some CSL wheels as they look excellent on the Z4.

The Z4 is a great car imo. Although its more aimed towards poser then performance. RWD fun though smile

Verynice i do like that.

Did they make them in any other colour????
Posted By: Anonymous Re: Goodbye car... - 25th Oct 2008 10:37pm
They made them in a few colours but this is definitely the most common.

I have to say, it is the best colour though. I also considered black with red leather but thats even more of a posers car.

It's no slouch in the performance stakes, and it handles fantastically.

All it needs are some proper rims mate..

Black looks good clean.

But grey is best colour all round i think.

Has nobody spotted me? lol.

Gotta get me some new wheels.

Well ive bought some CSL rims for it, and ive had it remapped (for free). Added some bits like the ipod kit, but it was an arse to get it sorted due to the carver hifi system.

New brakes, stubby aerial and other minor bits and bobs on way.

Been pricing up a supercharger.

Have it clocked at 6.2 seconds to 60, would like to get closer to 5 as a target. Since the remap it has been much smoother, seems to pull better across the whole rev range.

Roof is always down.

Unfortunately, its in having some warranty work sorted at the moment, leaky air con unit in the passenger side footwell and a dodgy roof motor. Driving the 123d everywhere at the minute. Trust these last few days to be the best for roof down action!!!!
