You can put that in your boot, for a much easier route get the one below....

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/bass-pack-p-4278.html

It was off this link...

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/promo-packs-c-22.html

You need an Amplifier with your link also a wiring kit, amp minimum 50 and wire kit 20 so you will be saving some money.

nice one - so basically that's the whole kit.

Now would i be best trying to fit this myself or would it be better getting someone else to fit it?

Have you an aftermarket Headunit? If Yes then has it RCA outputs on the back (red and white connections)

sorry for the late reply. the car only has stock radio/cd that comes with it. in fact i think it's just got a casset tape player, i need to rip it out and put a cd + mp3 player in there

I take it you only have a std head unit, speakers etc.

If so this will be a better option.

and this to run it...

Bearing in mind this is a cheap setup.

cheers. looks like a nice setup.

one last question - i have a Sony 8gb mp3 player and i'm just wondering if this particular cd-player can play it? I cant see a USB option on it, but even if it did, my mp3 player goes into 'charge-mode' when it's plugged into a USB port, so would it still play the songs if i plugged it into a cdplayer in a car?

You can get a Usb cd player on that site,

This would be ok

i did find this, but i think it might need some extras before it'll work, extra leads n so on:

(sorry to go on, you're probably getting bored of me lol)

steer clear of motorworld, you will find a cheaper/better spec Headunit on the site you posted...

i'd be tempted to buy this:

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/sony-cdxgt222-p-6257.html

and just use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm input jack and play my mp3 player through that and have the subwoofer bang out the beats in the back.

thanks for the help so far mate!

Tbh i would much rather have a Jvc, Kenwood, Pioneer than Sony, Much better for mid, bass etc.

i may opt for a JVC in that case. thanks again bud
