You should get a good 325 E36 for £2k omg

Steers clear of the 320s if you can streach to the 2.5 wink

If you look around you can get a 328i for under £2000. I had a 328i sport and it cost me £1900!

If you need to use it every day mate, your not going to find something better than a 325 / 328 for the money... smile

Is just the money you will need to run the fker..325/328's are just a little bit petrol hungry!

Maybe, but still similar or even better than a 200, and the non turbo, 6 cylinder motor is a good 'un lol

just been reading about a major problem with the m52 engine in the beemer 320, 323 and 328, somthing about the cylinder lining being damaged by sulpher content in fuel, requires the block to be changed! maybe time to reconsider??
Posted By: BMW Joe Re: 2K Car - 26th Jun 2008 2:11pm
Only M52 engine models before March 1998 are affected
Posted By: exploding_penguin Re: 2K Car - 26th Jun 2008 2:14pm
aint may made after then 1998 was the last year iirc for e36 anyway
Posted By: BMW Joe Re: 2K Car - 26th Jun 2008 5:04pm
Yeah, 1998 was the final year, so there may be very few with an engine from new, but some engines will have been replaced under warranty.

Just check if the block is an alloy or steel or see if its in the service history
