The owner of the world’s fastest limousine — a Ferrari that can travel at speeds of up to 166mph — is facing legal action for infringing the Ferrari trademark.

Dan Cawley, 36, of Cheadle, Manchester, has 14 days to remove all prancing horse badges, Ferrari names and “360 Modena” symbols from the 6m (20ft) car. “What kind of precedent does it set when you can’t do what you like with your own property?” asked Mr Cawley.

Lawyers say that since Mr Cawley cut the 360 Modena in half and inserted a 3m (9.5ft) section of hand-built carbon fibre, the car is no longer a Ferrari.

I agree with you matey, but I suppose they just have to protect their intellectual rights though.

For a high class marque, it will be very important to them.

Hmmm think

Can see both sides to this....

One one hand you should be able to do what you like with it, after all its a modified Ferrari - should you take the badges off if you change the wheels.....???

...but, what the fook is the point of it? A Ferrari is fast, handles, is good looking. I think this is none. It wont be fast due to the added weight, there will be no room in the back due to head room, it wont handle and it looks like P-diddys strech hummer after that cock Westwood has cut the roof down in a pimp my ride special!

Bit of a waste IMO, but what about all those Mister2s out there with the 355 kits and badges.....? think
