The first-ever diesel-engined Audi TT will make its debut at the Geneva Show in early March, and will be available to order from UK dealers at about the same time for delivery in the summer.

The TT uses the Volkswagen Group's celebrated 2.0 TDI engine in 168bhp form. As with the petrol models, you can choose between two body styles: the Coupé, which costs £26,350, has a top speed of 140mph, goes from 0-62mph in 7.5 seconds and has combined fuel consumption of 53.3mpg and a CO2 rating of 140g/km.

If you want the option of open-top motoring you'll have to find £28,350 for the Roadster, which is slightly heavier and therefore has mildly inferior statistics of 138mph, 7.7 seconds, 51.3mpg and 145g/km.
