Thanks Stuy, Thats more than I was thinking, was looking at £2500 tops, thats part-ex price tho.

Did you mean the Astra or the Mazda?
the mazda is usually a safe bet and for once u have spotted something that i would actually drive and not be ashamed to b seen in hehe
wots the price of the mazda?
£3990
If it gets the Davey thumbs up, it must be a goodun.
lol, dont take it personally mate, but if it aint a honda civic ek shape then i dont like it, lol, strange but im so in love with them urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sex wee
My post seemed a little rude last night, sorry, I do want opinions but I would like reasons to back up your opinions.
Andy, I value your opinion a lot, and I usually completely drop an idea as soon as you show any sort of disapproval, the pt cruiser to pick one, but Im really taken with the styling of this, and it suits my family lifestyle, and was after any sort of advise over reliability etc.
Thanks
i quite like it, but what is boot space like, thats important on a family car, and its different from a zafira/merriva.
from me !
Im going to see this one today:
Description: Mazda Premacy Front
Description: Mazda Premacy Rear
Description: Mazda Premacy Cockpit
Description: Mazda Premacy 3 individual removal rear seats
Description: Mazda Premacy Cargo area
how much mate?? like them both, but the black one looks more sporty...........
Black one is actually green and has done 100k
The blue one is newer, better spec and only 35k, with a service done a 31k, comes with a 12mth MOT. and he's given me a better PX price.
hmmmm. go for it then matey...
Been to see it today, and I like it a lot, It was only brought in on Saturday and he has a few little bits to get sorted in the body shop, as well as a new MOT etc, I should be going back on Thursday to seal the deal.
This is just from experience here....
Is there a reason why when people have kids, they immediately jump to MPVs?? I have 2 brothers...and when we were young...we had Cavaliers, Carltons, Lagunas....never have we even had an estate etc...in fact, the Laguna is a hatchback...and weve always managed fine with the Hatchbacks and saloons.
Now I dunno bout you, but I always find styling on MPVs to be a bit lacklustre...would a decent second hand saloom not interest you in any way???
If you do decide to get the mazda tho...good...cos its a much nicer looking car for one than the vauxhall and ford crap out there....plus its actually reliable....
I know what you mean Craig, When we had our 1st baby I went up in size from a 3door corsa to a 5door astra. This served me well whilst I just had the 1 child, when we were expecting our second, everyone told me I would need a people carrier, but I refused to listen, the youngest is 9months now, and the last 9months has been a struggle when it comes to space. i.e both babies are in a pram, therfore we have a big double pram which alone takes 80% of the boot space, so when we go shopping we have now space for shopping bags or any large purchases. We also go on a lot of Britain based holidays - Haven/Butlins and the like. and once we have packed the Babies necessities we have no space for our stuff or extras.
So at least I have tried for 9months before deciding that for my lifestyle, a MPV would be best.
Just phoned my insurance company for a quote to transfer my policy (remaining 6months) onto the Premacy 2.0L Sport, can any one hazard a guess at how much extra the insurance is over my Astra. going from a Grp6 -> Grp8.
go on, be brave.
not the foggiest lol!! but i do like the new car...!
vauxhall would probably rip your arms out(part exin) down there if u go looking at a nearly new sporty zafira although citroen (with a turby d in ) would probably do u best on a piccasso, the mazda is well reliable but they are mostly owned by ford now if i recall and they are a little bit northern rock at the mo
I'm so close to getting it, Finances are in place, Part ex is sorted, price is agreed, just waiting for a phone call to say its ready to be picked up. But Im not available now till Tuesday so it will be at least then. I'll pop round to yours Chiccy to show it off to Jonah and yourself when I get it, also I want Customice to have a gander at the stereo and speakers in view off upgrading.
good luck what ever u decide, u test driven the mazda, quite a peppy litle motor
sorry watching channel 4 and new yorkers kickin off, i love NYC
another screwed up american kid then..............
Placidmaster,
Thanks for your comments, I cant afford a new shape sporty Zafira, I dont like the interior and dash of the old shape Zafira. The Father in law had a picasso and I didnt like it to drive, imho it drove like an armchair.
Yeah, I test drove the Mazda, It was very surprising, and enjoyable.
what about the new c4 picasso, a different car altogether and go in with the wife and kids and they will give a good deal on an ex demo one and they will probaly knock 2g off the new price on a 6 month old car. mazda good choice tho but servicing costs a little high, phone a mazda dealer tomorrow (needs mazdaz stamp for best resale) to get average prices on servicing
The new shape Zafira is crap anyway... the old one was actually better, the new one is so cheap and nasty!!
i never fitted into either lol
new c4 picasso, Father in law currently has the 7 seater one (he's on motability),its a nice car but it just isnt me.
anyway, the insurance is only £52 more than the Astra.
thats cool, mazda it is then lol
Not many sport spec mpv's are only a Grp8 insurance.
I seen a Dihatsu this morning that looked very similar to this... thought it was a Mazda at first but it came a bit closer and I realised it was smaller, looked very alike it though.
I thought I was gonna see you behind the wheel lol. Both the Dihatsu and this look very nice, quite sporty for a MPV is thagt Mazda and whatever the Dihatsu is trying to be lol.
dhiatsu is funded lots by toyota so the engineering is there, but dont hold the value, my safer money would be the mazda
