Mitsubishi has released the first official photos of its new Lancer Evolution - the X gets dropped from the name outside of Japan - and while the changes are subtle, there are several differences.
2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution

Up front, the grille has been slightly re-worked, with revised openings in the front bumper fascia, as have the headlight and foglamp assemblies, which are now non-LED. Other noticeable modifications from the prototype include new side-view mirrors and an updated rear wing.

Power for the Evo will come via Mitsubishi's new, cast aluminum block 2.0-liter turbocharged engine with MIVEC variable valve timing (using cam phasing on intake and exhaust) which will reportedly come with 300 horsepower on tap and help move the car from 0-60 in the mid-four second range. Shifting will come through Mitsu's also new dual-clutch six-speed automated manual with magnesium paddle shifters -- similar in operation to VW/Audi's much lauded DSG gearbox. A five-speed manual will also be available.

Isnt this the one that running way behind schedule?

I thought this was announced about two years ago? From a first glimpse it doesnt look any different specs or style wise to me, other then the headlights... is this just Mitsubishi trying to disguise one hell of a fook up it running so far behind schedule think

dunno about the schedule, but yeah I think it was annonced a while back.

Aye it was - https://www.wikiwirral.co.uk/forums/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/151294#Post151294

A few changes to the looks imho is just Mitsubishi trying to disguise their big fook up. Either that, or they are so far behind schedule, they are actually able to release a facelift model before the original one is out!!

well look at it this way....lancers have gone downhill since the evo 6 (too much bodywork for my liking)....this is a slight improvement...but I can only see people buying it now...cos the Impreza has become an ugly as fook hatchback

Not personally just want stuy to tell me what BHP his car is putting out now. thought it might "prompt" him.

I agree it's not a drivers car anymore. you don't drive it, it drives you

Lol, just a bitch who drives a car for that, less cost, more hassle though.
