R u getting one?

I've been thinking about one of these myself.

Truth is, I've done a bit of research, and personally, I wouldn't go for it.

Reasons being are:

a) They don't provide much boost (air pressure) thus you don;t see much of a gain

b) Why would you want some peice of plastic crap which could easily break off and enter your engine causing major costly damage?

c) They are also a disadvantage as when it is turned off, it disrupts and blocks the air flow into the engine actually causing less air intake.

So consider all these before spending over £140 on one wink

I agree with BMW Joe on this, not realy a good idea, plus you'll end up with a flat battery to boot!
(I think this company is based near my parent's home in North Wales)

Last year a mag did a review of one, and tested it on a car. Even running, it made less power as it made a bigger restriction than the air it could supply.

People have been asking "are these any good" for a few years since they came out, and the answer is no, they are shite! laugh

This one's meant to work but it's £700. You only get a 15 second hit and it runs off a car battery:

fast car did a test on a similar kit years ago around 1998 and it proved it didn't work, then Redline did a test on a mr2 N\A model and it never made enough pressure for it to work.

why not get one of these and strap it to your intake

If you have a look at their graphs, at 3500rpm the car is producting 75bhp less than std raftl

Then, providing the product is as good as it says, you get a sudden 100bhp increase (Thats going to be nice for traction, gearboxes, ECU to keep up with fueling demands etc whistle )for a whole 15secs raftl

Junk!

if you have to ask the question if they are any good you should even have the privilage to own a car. i mean come on, lets stick a computer fan into the air intake of my car and call it a turbo! ffs!
