i was walkin down the road the other day and a pair of chav s in a escrote went past with this blairing out, well all that was going through my head at the time was,,,,,,, nobheads !

Its kinda similar to wot u get in pleasure rooms, i aint bin in the pleasure rooms but i have listened to the cd's. It is gd but less on the Mcing would be nice. The tunes are great, but i think you'll get better answers from ppl who go to the pleasure rooms which i dont think many people here do.

Not something i would listen to. Perhaps it would be more appreciated on a music forum smile
Posted By: lawton Re: Merseybeats Vol1 BANG THIS OUT PEPZ - 22nd Jan 2007 10:11pm
just downloaded it, thought it was pritty good, (its my type of music)

also, people prefer it if you break it up so its not one big song and then zip them all together
Posted By: BMW Joe Re: Merseybeats Vol1 BANG THIS OUT PEPZ - 22nd Jan 2007 10:42pm
Some good mixes in there.

The MC'ing is a bit Hibba-biba-dibba-dibba-dibba.....say wha'??!

So, a bit less MC'ing and slowed down so the lyrics can be heard and understood lol

For most people, tracks are easier to deal with, but I don't mind downloading and separating sets myself smile
Posted By: lawton Re: Merseybeats Vol1 BANG THIS OUT PEPZ - 22nd Jan 2007 11:13pm
whats the best way too seperate them joe?
Posted By: scoop Re: Merseybeats Vol1 BANG THIS OUT PEPZ - 23rd Jan 2007 1:33am
My taste in music is massive so i'd prolly have this CD in my car,but i cant download it cos its always saying the server is too busy,i like hardcorey music but sometimes the MCing can be too much to bear, and u do thinks "fooking Grrr"

And people who have the music so loud that people outside the car can hear it are nobheads, especially if they go to the lengths of having the windows down with the tunes up. No respect for peoples peace
Posted By: MattLFC Re: Merseybeats Vol1 BANG THIS OUT PEPZ - 23rd Jan 2007 2:55am
Fook that is fast, must be running at about 160bpm or summit in that region! Far too fast for a 140bpm trancer like me to be able to enjoy.

I personally think MC'ing in general is absolutely awful on any occasion, this certainly isnt the worst I have come across by a long way, but still sounds pretty poo and wrecks the set imho.

Not sure if the bass levels have been turned down on the mixer, but im getting very little in the way of a decent bassline even with me Eltax 120watt sub on (bear in mind I don't usually have to go further then my Technics super woofers for extreme bass).

Also, not sure what to make of the erratic volume fluctuation's? Sounds like it could be due to mixing flaw's, but it seems to happen in the duration of the tracks too?? Id say the mixing was pretty decent, but for the weird volume fluctuations.

Mark, there are two ways to split a set:

- Individual cut - where each track is physically split from the mix, which is by far the best way to split for an MP3 mix.

- Cuesheet - what most of the professional CD's use, a bit more complicated in some respects, less in others. But perfect if the set is going to be CD only.

Nero Wave Editor or Acid can do the individual cuts, you can make a cuesheet in Notepad. Easiest to do it via Nero though.

Kev, it would be a good idea to split the set and then place them into a ZIP file, as already stated. Not many peeps wanna put a full mix onto a CD to listen continually, people like to be able to skip tracks.

Going to take too long for me to download that (especially as i'm at work)

But i'm not a fan of MC'ing on dance records, i'm and oldschool trance addict!
Posted By: Sanchez Re: Merseybeats Vol1 BANG THIS OUT PEPZ - 23rd Jan 2007 2:27pm
ah well it all sound s the same to me, i couldn t tell the difference between the constipated mc and the other one in the escrote on his vinegar stokes. just cant see whats so good about a re re re re re re re re re re re re mixed tune with some strange voiced twerp howling on about 1234 dance on the floor etc etc etc and so on.
Posted By: scoop Re: Merseybeats Vol1 BANG THIS OUT PEPZ - 25th Jan 2007 2:21am
Finally managed to get it,and the verdict aint good

90% of it can only be described as sloppy. Way too busy(with the constant MCing and 3 songs joined into 1 etc, very poor beat matching, poor volume fluctuations. I hope they dont plan on selling this in shops.

Wigan pier sets are better

Posted By: scoop Re: Merseybeats Vol1 BANG THIS OUT PEPZ - 26th Jan 2007 5:50pm
whats wrong with fords? ur opinion that theyre crap is ur perogative, but a lot of statistics say fords are some of the most popular and most reliable cars on the road
Posted By: StuyMac Re: Merseybeats Vol1 BANG THIS OUT PEPZ - 26th Jan 2007 6:12pm
smack

He neither said any one drove an Escort, or said they where crap, just used the model as a generic sterio type of the type that may drive them / listen to certain music (I cant comment, I havnt listened to the clip)

He could have easily have used Corsa / Saxo etc.... grin
Posted By: MattLFC Re: Merseybeats Vol1 BANG THIS OUT PEPZ - 26th Jan 2007 6:15pm
I wouldnt say some of the "most reliable" cars on the road, cant really compare them to the likes of Honda's, but certainly the most popular.

Which is prob the reason so many scallies who drive around blurring this type of music out drive ford escorts - their popular cars, lots of people drive them, the majority of which dont do this.

Point 1. The results of the surveys on car reliability showed ford up in the top 10,7th or something. much better than many other makes including BMW,vauxhall, rover etc

Up top were the jap makes such as lexus, honda, toyota and subaru

Point 2. Exactly matty, mk6 escorts used to be the most common car on the road, and theyre prob one of the top 10 most common car on the road still. Look in any car park and u'll prob see loads of astras, focus's,golfs and mk6 escorts, and only a few of all the other models (theyre the models i always see loads of) there are 7 mk6 escorts at work and only 100 people work there....... thing is theyre are about 12 focuss tho

as soon as the words MC come in to play i go to sleep.

i wont download due to what other comments have been said plus its got a MC over a dance tune which just bloody ruiens things.

i suppost if its a non vocal dance tune then its fine for mc but not when there is already vocals in the tune.

pleasure rooms = DIVE DIVE DIVE SCALLY HELL HOLE

trust me the 50% of the people in there are not nice and DO kick off for no reason (seen this happen first hand!)

tip NEVER have any dj from the rooms as your hero or role model.

Wigan peir tunes are mix'd properly and actually most of the time are at a decent BPM cause they know not even the muppets from wigan are going to dance to 160bpm cause its to fast and half the time vocals are made to sound like some ones balls are in a vice!

i've got 2 mix's from the 051 that i have on webspace that could give you ideas how to make scouse house / dance decent with out MC'in.

MC'in is reserved for people who like to go to the hell hole known as birkenhead town for the likes of shirlcoks (CD's not even CJD's).

Im going to come over as stuck up but the fact is i've been working in clubs from the age of 17 and know when i hear a crap mix
