do you mean wot is the point in the sport. personaly i dont see the point in football kicking a ball around a feild an gettin £100.000 a week .Everyone has differant tastes in sport an i have taken to this

Whats the point in drifting?
In my opinion drifting well is the ULTIMATE in car control. "controlling a car beyond the limits of adhesion" and staying within the confines of a track shows incredible skill,and to do it quickly and at extreme angles shows more skill. I dont see the point to football AT ALL! different tastes and all that, i will join the knock at fast and furious tho because altho it was an ok carporn film there is no such thing as drift racing, everyone knows the fastest way round a corner is grip racing not drifting

the likes of the d1 event an copmtitions are won in a differant way . you get points for how long u can hold the car at a angle points for the angle of a car in a bend how well u can swich the car from side to side to enter a bend

drifitng is ace, and very hard to get hang off
anyone who doesnt agree with it either cant drift or havent tried it so they [censored] it,

yes lawton, cos what i said above is what i know, if knowing that means i know "everything" then there u go,there are many things i dont know,many things about many things, but i do know many things about cars, and what i know about MY OPINION on drifting is my what i know,its my opinion and im entitled to it

cut and paste? i very rarely cut and paste and cant remember the last time i did it, the reply in this topic that started someone off wasnt a cut and paste, do u think it was cos i used the phrase "beyond the limits of adhesion?"

No offence meant at all to all the people who have now got rear wheel driven cars on here, but it seems everyone is buying them the cheapest rwd cars, so they can go 'drifting'. 
I don't think it's an integral part of track driving sport (apart from rally driving), going sideways slows you down, and in competition is to be the fastest and not the fanciest?? What's wrong with clipping the apex and taking the racing line? I'm sorry, I'm a killjoy and I'm just really old fashioned, just if I hear another person going on about drifting on a forum!
btw We called them 'power slides' in 'my day'.

Ur right on one part of that miek, racing is about going fast,but drifting isnt racing,its about being fancy, kinda like olympic floor gymanstics, its not about how fast someone can run from one side of a big mat to the other, its about how good they look doing it
