I know a few of you have had things imported (Looks at stuymac) and was wondering how they work out the cost.

I would assume it goes on size/weight and possibly the value of the package. Is there anywhere I could look at find this info out? I know the old 'Write GIFT on it' trick but there are other ways such as 'Business sending' etc

Think is goes down to weight / size / value.

Apparently writing "Gift" drops the duty, but you are still liable for Tax - or is it the other way round

Either way, if you get away with not paying great - its a bonus, if you ahve to pay then thats whats fair (According to our governmet )
