Wirral Council Firework Displays 2017 - 13th Oct 2017 12:21am

"The council-organised displays on Saturday, November 4 will be held at Central Park in Wallasey, Birkenhead Park, Park Drive, Birkehead, Mayer Park in Bebington, Lingham Park in Moreton and Woodchurch Leisure Centre."

(love that the Wirral Globe can't spell "Birkenhead")

Any idea as to why they're being held on 4th November ? Bonfire Night is 5th November and only 5th November. It's illegal to set off fireworks at any other time.

It's a Saturday, no school and fewer people work on Sunday.
The little ones can stay up later.

Itís not on bonfire night so it doesnít collide with private displays and reduce attendance at both.

Itís not illegal to set fireworks off at other times of the year.
