Cunard liner Queen Elizabeth is due to visit Liverpool on Tuesday 11th July after departing from Dublin.

This year also sees the Cruise Terminal's 10th anniversary.

There will be a mini fireworks display mid-river at about 9.45 pm.

Check out the new, swanky viewing area, near the site of (the old) Fishermans Wharf pub on the 'New Prom' at Seacombe. It is unrecognisable now from how it was before.

As it happens, I've just unearthed some video I took of the QE2's visit in September 1995. It's lost some definition in the various transfer and editing processes before going on YouTube. The original looks great, recorded in Hi-8 on a high-end (for the time) domestic Sony camcorder.
