Went to NB yesterday for a meal with my 2 youngest daugthers,we went around a few pubs ,on the way to the station ,we called in to The Corner, it was a quite night ,but i found it to a very cosy place , i went to speak to a guy sitting at the end of the bar ,and said 'Are you Mr Egg off the wiki'i was abit tipsy', he says no i am Stan from leeds..lol Any way he said the barmaid would know ,so it was eggandchips daugther 'boomber'and i introduced my-self and askes her to 'say' hello to her dad..My girls thought it funny ,I would go again,, on a band night..

I manage a band Dream Themes..google London Live twitter to see a clip of them performomg on television last night. They are London based but on Saturday September 5th are appearing at a festival in Port Merion...They then travel up to Blackpool for a Sunday night gig but would be available for a lunchtime booking at "the corner"

I wanted to know that too .... Can't have been as hardcore crazy as "GG Allin" back in the day ..... he used to throw poo at the crowd and randomly sexually abuse or fight the audience !!!! Rest in Peace

I know i'm getting old, my grandkids tell me so but there is no way I could ever class GG Allin as a worth while entertainer. I love any genre of music that hits the sole from Beethoven to Led Zepplin, from country to punk but find nothing remotely good about the guy. Can't sing, lyrics are rubbish and the guy is an insult to manhood. Rant over...thanks for sharing.
I am the same myself when it comes to music but that video had nothing to do with music in my humble opinion. If you have to go to those lengths to get an audience then you are terribly short on musical talent.

Thanks Dilly, I used Google Maps street view but couldn't see a name. It's been years since I walked around that area and only ever remember it as a bank so was surprised to see the change. I think you go blind to such things if you are concentrating on driving and I only ever seem to go up Rowson Street so the entrance is obscured. The last time I walked in Victoria Road was when my old man was the manager of the Royal Ferry Hotel during its closed period around 1969/70.

Just got home from a VERY GOOD night at the corner,good company ,plenty of drinks,AND a 'round of drinks off 'egg and chips ' which was a very nice touch , AND 'the butty's ' lol. EVERYONE HAD A great night .. We must do again.....
