Wallasey Council Film [1960] at Wallasey Library - 2nd Mar 2014 10:02pm
Friends of Wallasey Central Library are pleased to announce a rare opportunity to see a film called Audemus dum cavemus (translated: "We are bold whilst we are cautious" - the former motto of the Borough). The film was commissioned by Wallasey County Borough Council in 1960 to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the formation of Wallasey Municipal Borough in 1910. The film is in colour featuring the services provided by the Council in 1960.
This showing of this film is part of our AGM, which will be held on the 20th March from 6.30pm. The film is FREE to Friends members and £3 for non-members [this will include a year's membership though]. There will also be refreshments, a raffle and a book sale.
