Heritage Open Days for 2012 will on from the 6th-9th September. Lots of places all over Merseyside will be opening their doors to the public. Some interesting places already such as the not yet open Liverpool Central Library. Be a good chance to have a sneak preview. Should be lots of places all over the Wirral too. I've been to quite a few places on these Open Days and it's a great chance to get in touch with our rich heritage.

There are more than 70 events for Wirral's Heritage Open Days 2012 and the dates range from 1st to 9th September. (The national programme dates are from 6th to 9th September.)
Details of Wirral's events can be found at www.wirralheritage2012.org.uk
Brochures (giving the same information as the website) can be picked up at most Wirral libraries.

The Chester Heritage free open days 6-9 September are also interesting. I have booked for a working Mill Tour and a farm tour at Mickle Trafford near Chester both on same day, as well as some of the Wirral ones
