Birkenhead Park hosting Walk 4Life Day this Sunday - 22nd Sep 2011 8:45am
WIRRAL Council is inviting people to enjoy free events for Birkenhead Park’s Walk 4 Life Day.
On Sunday (September 25) there will be a number of activities in Wirral’s most famous park including yoga, a guided tour and a health walk. The NHS will also be on hand to offer advice and information on healthy lifestyles.
Councillor Chris Meaden, cabinet member for culture, tourism and leisure said: "We want local people to enjoy spending time in this much-loved and historic leisure spot. This is yet another example of the many events that are becoming so popular at Birkenhead Park and I hope that people come along and make the most of what we have on offer.
"All ages are welcome and everything is free of charge."
The Walk for Life timetable is:
10.30am-3pm: Heath trainer and NHS information stall
11am: Health Walk
12.15pm: Yoga class
1.30pm: Guided walk of Birkenhead Park
