Wirral sea cadets to help out at charity car wash this weekend

BIRKENHEAD Sea Cadets will lend a hand to their local firefighters at a charity car wash this weekend.

Since their headquarters was damaged by fire last year, the cadets have been using Birkenhead Community Fire Station twice a week for their meetings.

This Saturday they will team up with Birkenhead firefighters for a charity car wash at the station in Exmouth Street as way of saying thank you to the crew for its hospitality.

The car wash is part of a national event to raise funds for The Fire Fighters Charity, the official organisation which supports injured firefighters during their times of need.

The car wash will take place between 11am-3pm.
The MoD make me sick... they can't spare a few extra pounds for these types of things, yet they can pay £22.00 for lightbulbs that the rest of us buy in Tesco at 5 for a pound!!
Is it the MoD that pay?

I was amazed, watching Heston Blumenthal last night, that they only had £2.32 to spend per day on meals for one submariner.

Heston was really struggling and settled for cod fish heads as a main raftl
The MoD are the primary funder to the Sea Cadets iirc...

But as we know, the top knobs and the admins in the MoD get (and waste) all the money, whilst the front line get as little as possible.

£22 for lightbulbs is just plain rediculous, and if they can afford that, they can afford to give these sea cadets the money!
