Serj Tankain, the former lead singer of system of a down has gone solo, his forthcoming Solo albulm is released 23rd october named "elect the dead". He is touring the UK supporting the FOO FIGHTERS, but also has 2 shows of his own, 1 at Manchester academy and 1 in london somewhere.

lol does this mean SOAD are no longer??

SOAD are "taking a break", all members are doing side projects:

Darren & John = scars on broadway
Serj = Solo
Shavo = Achozen (with 2 former wu-tang crew members)

In other words they are over then. Bands always "take a break" and either never return, or return but die shortly afterwards lol.

Or in the case of some, they return about 10 years later to make some more money/cash in on their former fame lol.

Darren and Serj had a bust up, Darren can be heard in recent concerts spouting insults about the band instead of the intended lyrics.

imho - Serj is the reason I listen to SOAD.
