My wife and friends started a group called Wallasey Village in Bloom see them on Facebook, they are responsible for the planters and barrels around Wallasey village and the flowers at St Nicholas church.
For their next project they need an old wooden rowing boat it does not need to be sea worthy this will be placed on the green space by the new roundabout at Harrison drive/ Bayswater Rd.
This will then be filled with flowers.
We have done the rounds of yacht clubs boat yards alas nothing if anyone can help please contact me via this site or the girls facebook page they may have to settle for grp / plastic

have a look here, some of these may be old and not sea worthy so people might be looking to get rid.

or there's the boatyard at Harrison Drive by the golf course next to the lifeboat station bit.

what's their budget???

I've seen some really tatty unseaworthy ones in the long marsh grasses near Sheldrakes. There's also a boatyard down there.
