Word of warning !! If you buy the type as shown in the photograph, DON'T leave it with any cylinders full or nearly full for any period of time. The top plate (with the coin denominations on) bends up with the spring pressure and more than one coin at a time comes out.

An ex-bus one off fleabay may cost a bit more, but being made of metal, they're bombproof. You get what you pay for - as always. Similar to this:-

Just my 2p's worth Ive had mine for over 25 yrs and its been dropped many times and still works fine and against the bus ones dosent rust lol

Fair comment Red. Each to their own etc. I have to say the 2 bus ones I've got are made of stainless and alloy of some sort. Can't rust. Your plastic one is obviously made of sterner stuff than the one I had !
