I'd also like some if possible. I've bought other climbers this year but they are very poor. My nan said ivy is ugly but not as ugly as the wall I want hiding!! So she made me buy climbing flowers. but no good as yet...

There's shit loads in my Mums garden - that stuff that crawls everywhere. I'll get some up from the roots for you if you like.

I'd like very much, not wanting to hijack the thread though.

It's not my wall it will be damaging, it's an old building at bottom of my garden and it looks terrible... The Ivy will prob help it stand up.

Thanks

they're not fun when you're battling with them every year! we have tons of it overgrowing on one level in the back garden and on the roof of the garage!
Its a bloomin pain, i chop them down, put weed killer down, they grow back!!!!
As I write this I can see a stem dying to grow over the window [Linked Image]
I gave up with the garden this year, nearly killed me last year [Linked Image]

Hope what you took Fish has worked out for you, sorry I wasn't in at the time...had to go and get some surprises for my dd's b/day.

eeek does it damage walls?

Ivy can indeed damage walls, it breaks up the mortar in between the bricks, can grow in to the cavity and in to the loft space if left unchecked. I've seen the damage it can do, i certainly wouldn't have it near any building of mine.
