We really really need someone to come and clear the back of our garden - there is a bit of rubble and the area is quite overgrown with weeds. The area is about 3mx3m. The quotes from gardening companies we've had are just extortinate! We just need someone with a small business (and van!) who wants to make a bit of money!

Can anyone help?!

Thanks!!

what quotes have u been gettin £?
Posted By: Christine12 Re: Garden Clearance - 16th Aug 2010 9:04pm
One was over £400!!!!
The cheapest was £200 - in my opinion the area is not that big to warrant paying that amount of money! Just taken some pictures - husband just uploading them now!

We want the area clearing because we'd like to level the area to make room for a new shed

Thanks!

When you say clear do you mean to just take away and chop down those big bushes and thats it?
Posted By: Christine12 Re: Garden Clearance - 16th Aug 2010 9:24pm
Well yes that's part of it but under those 'big bushes' (weeds) is a quite a lot of rubble. Would it be better for you to come and see it?

No way would that be £400 worth of work!!!
Posted By: Christine12 Re: Garden Clearance - 16th Aug 2010 9:27pm
Exactly! Shocking isn't it?! I'm thinking that these garden clearance companies just don't think it's worth their time so they charge more????

Bit daft in the middle of a recession...
